Annette C. Buonoma

Annette C. Buonomo, born on December 7, 1940, in Central Falls, RI, peacefully passed away on May 25, 2024, at her home in Worcester, MA surrounded by her loving family.


Annette's journey was marked by a profound dedication to education and service. She began her academic pursuits under the guidance of the nuns at St. Mary's Presentation in Nashua, NH before receiving a full scholarship to Rivier College.  Following her studies, she embarked on a fulfilling career path that led her to Washington DC. Annette's contributions were felt at prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University Medical Center and the US Navy Dept at the US Pentagon.


It was during her time in Washington that Annette crossed paths with the love of her life, Anthony R. Buonomo. Their union on June 9th, 1962, marked the beginning of a beautiful partnership rooted in love and mutual respect. Anthony, a dental student at Georgetown University at the time of their meeting, became not only her husband but also her lifelong companion.


Annette's memory will be cherished by her surviving family and friends. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Dr. Anthony R. Buonomo; daughters Catherine A. Lifschultz and her husband Michael and Karen F. Buonomo; son, Michael A. Buonomo and his wife Sonia: grandchildren Jacob Lifschultz, Jessica Lifschultz, USMC PFC Anthony S. Buonomo, and Mia Buonomo; as well as sister Claudette Kiernan and brother Robert Viau.


She is reunited in eternal peace with her parents Rene Viau and Edna (Mercier) Viau; brother Rene Viau; sister Edna Fleurant; and all those who have gone before her.


Annette C. Buonomo’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she touched countless lives with her warmth and compassion.
