Barbara Ruth (Ferron) Couillard, 73, of Athol. Born in Plymouth, NH on December 23rd, 1951.Barbara was the daughter of the late Francis Ferron and Ruth (Oliver).
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,sister and aunt passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family on September 30th. Barbara’s caring spirit, quick wit and generous heart touched everyone who knew her. She was always willing to lend a hand or offer support in any way she could, and her kindness left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community. She enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City and playing bingo. Her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews were truly the light of her life, and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with them. Barbara cherished family gatherings and loved the simple pleasures of sitting on her porch, enjoying the fresh air and the world around her. She will be remembered for her warmth and unwavering love for her family.
Barbara is survived by a daughter, Kena Richardson-Wright of Gardner, a stepson, Roger Couillard of East Templeton ,three stepdaughters: Sherri Landry & Scott of Royalston, Donna Martin & Steven of East Templeton, Robin Frank & Steven of Nevada, grandchildren, Monica Theriault & Pj, Alisha Wood & Alex, Chelsea Margeson & Cory Richard, Kelsey Margeson, Brandon Margeson & Sydney, Bradly Margeson & Vivan Sacco-Rosado, Roger and Troy Couillard, Brandon and Josh Suhoski, Noah Couillard, Gabrielle Boudreau & Nathan, Emma Landry, Sierra, Danielle and Sabrina Martin, Mckenzie Henthorne & Dustin, Andrew and Tyler Blaesi, Mason Coggins, Steven Frank, and five great grandchildren: Natalie and Jaxon Theriault, Aliyah and Tahlia Wood, Nova Dunbar and Alistair Margeson, a sister Nancy Ferron and a niece Heather Ferron and her children.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in life by her daughter, Trena (Richardson) Margeson, two brothers: Francis Ferron Jr and John Ferron.
Barbara’s husband George Couillard passed away 25 days following Barbara’s passing.
Please join us for the internment of Barbara and her daughter Trena on Saturday, November 22nd at 11am for a graveside service at Silver Lake Cemetery in Athol (take the Horrigan Ave entrance) and immediately following the service at the Tully Mill Pond Venue @ The Boiler Bar & Grille, 245 Tully Road, Orange, MA for a Celebration of Life.
