Whether it was sharing candy with the children who passed by or engaging with customers, his cooking and giving were expressions of his deep affection for others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Silvia Cortez, whose companionship enriched his journey through life. Alongside her, Junior is lovingly remembered by his children, Maria Elena, Ricardo, and Emmy Lynn, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, who all carry forward his spirit of kindness and generosity.

His distinct personality shone brightly, encapsulated in his favorite saying, “bautizao con sangre de perro,” a phrase that echoed his unique charm and zest for life.
