Carlos Cardona Cuevas, affectionately known to family as "Tank," passed away on December 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and laughter. Born on March 2, 1958, Carlos lived a life dedicated to service as a tow-truck driver in New York, where he became a familiar and beloved figure on the roads he traveled.
Carlos was a beacon of positivity in the lives of everyone he encountered. With an infectious smile and a knack for humor, he had the unique ability to brighten even the darkest days. Friends and strangers alike were greeted with his laughter and joyful spirit, making him a cherished friend to many.
His family remembers him with deep love and fondness. He is survived by his loving mother, Ramona Cuevas Ramos, his older sister, Mildred Rivera (Cookie), alongside his nephew, Raymond Shaun Rivera, and nieces, Crisy Rivera and Diana Rivera. They carry forward the cherished memories of a brother and uncle who filled their lives with joy and laughter. Additionally, he is survived by his beloved daughter Carla M. Cardona and is now at peace with his brothers and eldest daughter Milagros Cardona.
Carlos lived life full of laughter and joy, and his spirit will continue to echo in the hearts and memories of those he leaves behind. He showed us all the importance of finding joy in everyday moments and reminded us that a smile and a good joke can be a balm for the soul. Let us always remember Carlos by sharing laughter and kindness with each other, just as he would have wanted.
