Charles H. "Charlie" Wallace, 82, of Needham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Brighton, MA. Born on March 9, 1943, Charlie was devoted to family, service to his country, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Charlie proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Needham Fire Fighter, this provided him with countless stories he loved to share throughout his life. Charlie found great joy in fishing and riding his motorcycle before his health would not allow it.
You could often find him riding with his life-partner Leslie, discovering new places to eat & get ice cream or just cruising through the mountains of Maine.
Charlie loved being "Grandpa" or "Papa". His face would light up when talking about his grandchildren and great-granddaughters. He was a constant presence in their lives—sharing stories from his childhood and Navy days, offering guidance when needed, and always ready with a smile, warm hug and a dollar or two pressed into their hands for being "a good kid". He always looked forward to Sunday afternoons when his house would fill up with family for Sunday lunches.
Charlie is survived by his beloved partner-in-life of 40 years Leslie (Badger) Cardoni; his daughter Sharran Wallace; grandchildren Caitlin, Michael, Andrew, and Mark Fantegrossi and Samantha Wallace; and great-granddaughters Ella and Hannah. His legacy also lives on through the memories held dear by those who knew him.
He was predeceased by his son Charles M. Wallace and grandson CJ Wallace.
A private burial will be held at a later date. May the memory of Charlie bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
