Cheryl Lynn Wenho, a beloved mother and cherished friend, departed from this world on May 24, 2025, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 26, 1967, in Worcester, she lived a life full of joy, laughter, and unwavering love for those around her.
Cheryl found great fulfillment in her career, at Home Depot, where she served as a Front End Supervisor. There, she brought smiles to the faces of customers with her infectious humor, often cracking jokes and brightening their day as they passed through her line. Cheryl's professional journey also included meaningful work at nursing homes, such as Hammond House and Stone House, where she was known for her warmth and kindness.
The essence of Cheryl was not just found in her work, but in the joyful memories she created with her family. She was a passionate gamer, always eager to gather with loved ones for card games, board games, and even video games like World of Warcraft, where she could often be found questing and crafting alongside her daughters, Holly and Allison. Family gatherings were treasured events for her, especially during Christmas Eve when her delicious Peanut Butter Cookies delighted everyone around her.
Cheryl was not only a loving mother to Holly and Allison, but she also took pride in being a second mom to her nieces and nephews, embodying the spirit of a strong and independent woman who offered love and support to all. Her nurturing nature and ability to listen without judgment made her the person whom many felt comfortable confiding in; she always had their back, no matter the situation.
She attended Burncoat Senior High. Outside of her work and family, she possessed a myriad of hobbies that painted her world with vibrancy. Her enthusiasm for photography made her the designated photographer at family gatherings, capturing moments that would turn into lifelong memories. She enjoyed curling up with a good book, crocheting blankets for her family, tending to her garden, and experimenting with new crafts, all of which reflected her creative spirit. A true enthusiast of anime and video games, she would often immerse herself in those worlds, losing track of time in the best way possible.
Cheryl's personality shone brightly; she was known for her loving nature, her care for others, and an undeniable stubbornness that was endearing to all. Her goofy smile and cheeky sense of humor were constants in the lives she touched. Cheryl’s passion for spending time with her family took her to many cherished places, including Hampton Beach, Clarks Trading Post, and the camp, where memories became the fabric of her family's shared history.
As she faced her battle with cancer, Cheryl remained resilient and fought valiantly, determined to remain with her family for as long as she could. In her last moments, peace enveloped her, surrounded by those she loved so dearly.
Cheryl Lynn Wenho leaves behind her daughters, Holly and Allison, and her husband, John Wenho, who will carry her spirit and love in their hearts forever. She was a beacon of light whose laughter and love will continue to resonate in the lives of everyone she encountered.
Rest in peace, dear Cheryl. Your love, laughter, and indomitable spirit will be missed more than words can convey.
