Craig Scott Posson, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on June 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, raised in Needham, and a proud graduate of the “school of hard knocks,” Craig was a master carpenter and skilled tradesman. He tackled every project with an unmatched work ethic, perfectionist’s eye, and stoic nature. Craig took immense pride in his craft and never pretended to be anything but himself, and that authenticity left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen C. Posson; his children, Kelly Ann Posson Taintor and her husband Eric of Holliston, MA, Toireasa Iles Davis and her husband Thomas of Leominster, MA, Maggie Maye Posson and her husband Donald Scott of Leominster, MA, Stacia Marie Tuttle and her husband Ryan of Hudson, MA, Bryan Scott Posson of Natick, MA. He was a proud grandfather to Liam and Molly Taintor, Reese and Alyvia Davis, Hazel and Lincoln Tuttle, Sierra Raine Scott, and grandpup Koda. He is also survived by his sister, Rilla Tolmie of Franklin, MA, nephew Daniel Salter, and niece Jessica Harmon.
Craig was predeceased by his parents, Donald Lloyd Posson and Virginia Madelyn Posson of Needham, Massachusetts.
Outside of work, Craig found joy in playing and coaching his daughters in softball, hunting, camping, kayaking, and most of all spending time with his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy and the memories shared will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Services will be private, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
