Donald William O'Day, Jr

Donald William O'Day, Jr., 64, of Sutton, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday June 23rd, 2024, at Umass Memorial Medical Center. 

He is predeceased by his father Donald O'Day Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Randi O'Day, his mother Ethel O'Day, his children Monique Paradis, Sean O'Day, Ryan and Robert Shannon, his brother's Paul and Michael O'Day and sister Kathy Handfield. Don's role as a father extended beyond his human children; he also adored his faithful companion Brando. His family meant everything to him, and he found great joy in spending time with them.

In addition to his family life, Don had a deep love for muscle cars, especially his beloved 87 Firebird and supporting the Boston Bruins. He spent hours at the In Gear Garage with his close friend Ross tinkering with cars and hanging out. Don's passion for technology was evident to all who knew him; he was always eager to assist others inside and outside the workplace. Don worked and excelled in the IT field for over 40 years.

Don's legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on the hearts of all who had the privilege of calling him family or friend.

A celebration of life will be held August 2, 2024, from 6pm-9pm at Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post, 156 Boston Road, Sutton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dog Orphans Humane Society.
