Donald Peter Wright

August 4, 1961 — March 6, 2024

Donald Peter Wright, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, has passed away at the age of 62 in Leominster. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Don led a remarkable life filled with hard work, laughter, and profound love for his family.

Don’s career as a truck driver spanned over two decades at A&E Distributors, where he dedicated his days to ensuring deliveries were made promptly and efficiently. In addition to his job, he selflessly served as a volunteer firefighter while working for the Ashby Highway Department. Don’s commitment to helping others extended beyond his professional life.

An outdoorsman at heart, Don found solace in hunting and fishing with his buddies. He was known as a jack of all trades with boundless knowledge on various subjects. Whether it was fixing something around the house or spending time by the pool with loved ones, Don poured his heart into everything he did.

Those who knew Don will remember him for his incredible sense of humor and unwavering kindness. He had a special talent for bringing joy to those around him and always prioritized his family’s well-being. His wife Eileen was his rock for 43 years, and together they raised three sons and three daughters whom he cherished deeply.

One of Don’s proudest accomplishments was being the best Grampy to his twelve grandchildren. He adored them beyond words and never missed an opportunity to express how proud he was of each one. His legacy of love and devotion will live on through the memories shared by his surviving family members.

Don fought a valiant battle against cancer with unmatched strength and courage until he found peace. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be treasured by his family and friends forever.

In addition to his adoring wife Eileen, Don is survived by his sons Donald Jr., Cory, Zachary; daughters CarolJean, Kristie, Rebecca; sons-in-law Kyle Kolb, Ryan Isaacs, Michael Soto; daughters-in-law Rachel Legree, Jessica Ulloa; close friends of many years Steve Berube and Joe Brady. He is reunited in spirit with his parents Ralph Steven Wright, Agatha Ann Anzalone; brother Kenneth Wright; mother-in-law Carol McLaughlin; father-in-law Edward McLaughlin; Granddaughter Ameliah Jaylise Ulloa-Wright and friend Reed Pelletier.

Donald Peter Wright will be remembered as a beacon of light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
