It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Enrique Villaronga Capó, widely known as Kike, who departed this life on April 28, 2025, in Spencer, Massachusetts, at the age of 69.
Born on October 28, 1955, on a hospital ramp in New Orleans, LA, Kike was raised in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He graduated from Escuela Rafael López Landron in Guayama, PR before leaving the island to spend time in different parts of the United States residing in California, New York, and Louisiana until ultimately settling in Massachusetts.
Kike carried the warmth and spirit of his island roots wherever he went, touching the lives of all who knew him. He was the kind of man who showed his love not with grand gestures, but through everyday actions: rising early to work hard, providing without complaint, listening without judgment, and standing firmly by the side of those who needed him. His work ethic was unmatched, his spirit unbreakable, and his support unshakable. To know him was to know loyalty, quiet strength, and heartfelt sincerity. From his early days in Puerto Rico to the many decades he spent in Massachusetts, he remained true to his roots, never losing the values that shaped him—honesty, unity, and a love for family.
Kike was also a lover of music, particularly the vibrant rhythms of old salsa and percussion. His soul came alive to the beats of the congas, timbales, and bongos, and he was always happiest when he could share his love of music with family and friends. Whether at family gatherings or in the comfort of his own home, salsa was the soundtrack to many of his happiest moments.
He is survived by his children, Ivelisse Villaronga Matos, Enrique Villaronga Jr, and Jonathan Villaronga; his stepdaughters Jo-Serena Rodriguez and Rosalyn Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Krystal Quirindongo, Nathan Quirindongo, Urijah Matos, Uriel Matos, Jayliz Villaronga, Jayvian Villaronga, Hennessy Villaronga, Jovann Vega, Kiana Alliance, Roxana Vega, and Catalina Williams; his great grandchildren Noah Genao, Bentlee Matta, and Kairo Enrique Matta; his siblings Miguel Ángel Villaronga Capó, Georgie Villaronga Capó, Marcelino Villaronga Capó, Mary Ann Villaronga Capó, Evelyn Villaronga Capó, Nereida Villaronga Capó, and Raymond Villaronga Capó; and his beloved Noemi Martinez. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
A funeral service will be held at Comfort Cremation in Worcester on Saturday May 10, 2025 starting at 1:00PM, with the Memorial Service starting at 3:00PM.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Kike’s spirit will live on in the memories we carry and the love we continue to share. He was a steady presence, a guiding hand, and a humble hero to many. His life was a testament to the quiet power of showing up, doing the work, and loving without conditions. He will be deeply missed and remembered always.
