George John Ahearn, Jr.

George J. Ahearn Jr. (AKA Jaja)

of Spencer, Ma passed away on August 8th at 63 years of age after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Colleen A. (Russell) Ahearn and his four children. daughter Ashley LaCasse & husband Joshua of West Brookfield, Ma, son Johnathon Ahearn of Spencer, Ma, daughter Morgan Ahearn & husband Kris of Southbridge, Ma, daughter Rose Ahearn of Spencer, Ma. His 3 grandchildren Kenzie Ahearn, Scarlett Branham & Wyatt Richard Ahearn Moore. His siblings Lynn Howard, Ann Nowicki & husband Paul, Roger Ahearn & wife Joyce & his many nieces & nephew. George also adored all his neighborhood adopted children & lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his father George J. Ahearn Sr., mother June F. (Leware) Ahearn, & brother Richard (Ricky) D. Ahearn.

George was an avid hunter & fisherman as well as a highly skilled machinist. He started his career at Cincinnati Milcron (Heald division). After he went to Morgans Construction that was bought out by Siemans. Towards the end of his career he worked for Metzo that became Neles Usa. George was also an amazing cook who always made enough food for an army as he was never sure how many people would be eating at the house. He was known for his famous French onion soup & baked beans that would draw a crowd.

Services will be held on September 13, 2025, at the Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Avenue Paxton MA, 01612 at 10 am with a Celebration of life party from 11am-4pm at Spencer Fish & Game 155 Mechanic St, Spencer, MA 01562 all are welcome.
