With unwavering faith in God’s promises, we announce the passing of Grace Iola Holland who entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 31, 2026.

She was born on January 28, 1936, in Bronx, New York, and lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service to others. Thoughtful and generous, she touched the lives of everyone around her—not only her family and friends, but also those she met along life’s journey. She found great joy in spending time with children, hosting tea parties, knitting, and making/picking out special treats for the dogs she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

She is survived by her son, James, and her daughter, Deborah, along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations of family who will cherish her memory.

While her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. She has been reunited in the presence of the Lord with her beloved husband of 69 years, Milo; her daughter, Alice “Cricket”; and her son, Milo Jr. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is now free from pain and resting in the loving arms of her Savior.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7

“Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the Joy of your Lord.” -Matthew 25:23

A celebration of her life and faith will be held at the Shirley Christian Fellowship church in Shirley on July 9 at 12:30 PM. Following the service will be a committal ceremony at 3 p.m. located at the veterans cemetery in Winchendon, all are welcome to attend.
