Jane E. Buchanan, born on January 30, 1949 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, departed this life peacefully at home on August 16, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
As a devoted homemaker And a member of Ashburham Lutheran Church, Jane dedicated her life to creating a sanctuary of love and laughter for those around her. She had an ability to make every holiday and birthday an occasion to remember, filling those special days with joy and celebration. Jane’s loving nature was apparent in her endless cuddles, as well as her delightful tradition of allowing one lucky child to stay up late for extra one-on-one time. The echoes of her sweet laughter and spirited games of "turkey face!!" will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
Her personality shone brightly through her loving demeanor and great sense of humor. Jane’s compassionate spirit extended beyond her immediate family; she welcomed everyone into her home, cooking and baking with love, especially during the holidays. Whether it was gathering family and friends for a lively dinner, a fishing trip, a camping adventure, or spirited card games on cozy evenings, Jane filled her life with precious moments that made lasting impressions.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Darrell Buchanan Sr., and their children, Christopher French, Darrell Buchanan, and the late Leona Phaneuf. Jane took great pride in her grandchildren: Kristopher Posterro, Clarissa Pagan, Joshua Miller, Brittany Phaneuf, Chellsy Phaneuf, Kyle Phaneuf, Christopher Phaneuf, Jaiden Buchanan, Kaylee Buchanan, Brian Clapper, and David Clapper, Alysia French,Starr french, Dante French . She was also the proud great-grandmother to Isaiah Morales, Genevieve Brown, Amiee Miller, Reymundo Pagan-Miller, Adrian Espinal-Phaneuf, Leandro Arantes, Laurabella Arantes, Joseph Posterro, Cayden Posterro, Skylynn Willard, Carter Phaneuf, Aubriella Gaffney, Alexis Phaneuf, Nathaniel Stanton, Ocean Phaneuf, Christopher Phaneuf Jr., and Sophia Phaneuf.
Preceding Jane in death were her mother, Amiee Letourneau, father, Roman Poudrier, and sister Patricia Poudrier. Their memories will now be joined with hers in the hearts of those who loved her most.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Jane E. Buchanan not just for her passing, but for the countless moments of joy, laughter, and love that she shared with us all. Her radiant spirit and nurturing heart will be deeply missed but will live on in our fondest memories and stories we share for generations to come.
