Joanne C Renault

December 19, 1954 — February 18, 2024

JoAnne C Renault, 69, of Dustin Street Spencer passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, February 18,2024 after an extended period of declining health. Born on December 19,1954 in Whitinsville MA, she was predeceased by her parents Joseph M Renault and Cecile T Renault as well as her sister Linda A Renault.

She leaves behind her sister Kathleen E. Renault (Whitinsville), niece Jamie L. Bates and her husband Jason and their son Jaxton (Uxbridge). JoAnne is survived by her 4 children: Elizabeth M. Brouillard and her husband Pierre (Spencer), Jennifer A. Mercier and her husband Michael (Attleboro), Jason M. Goyette and his significant other Liz Costa (Uxbridge), and Nichole L. Beaudoin (Spencer). JoAnne also leaves 3 grand-children: Michael, Yvonne, Grace, as well as an extended family of Charron’s and Goyette’s, living in both New England and Colorado.

A jack of all trades and passionate about anything she could do to help others, JoAnne had many different jobs throughout her lifetime. She shared her talents and love of the arts with adults and children alike, working on numerous projects with organizations such as: Local Co-Op, Petruzzi Farmstand, Girl Scouts, 4-H, DPHS Drama Dept, Salisbury Lyric Opera Co, and the Boston Guild Opera. Even in her positions at corporations and retailers such as the Halloween Outlet, Home Depot, Target, and Vibram Shoes she often found herself bringing her creative talents to the forefront through event planning, catering, window display, and sign design.

JoAnne’s creativity spilled over into memorable Holiday favorites ranging from Haunted Houses to designing and making gingerbread houses. She had an uncanny ability of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary with limited resources. Her talents as a seamstress were utilized both professionally and personally in many facets throughout her lifetime.

Everyone knew they were always welcome at her table and she always had plenty of food in reusable containers or jars in her freezer, ready to put on a spread at any given moment. JoAnne enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like sunshine on her skin, wind blowing in her hair, gardening, motorcycle rides and rallies, car shows, and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells at the ocean. Spending time with friends and family always put a smile on her face. She will be dearly missed by many and her traditions will carry on. Per her wishes, no formal services will be held but a celebration of life ceremony will be organized by her family in the upcoming summer months.
