John Anthony Gedman

John Anthony Gedman, affectionately known to friends and family as JG, left us on May 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 24, 1952, in Worcester, MA, John was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan with an unparalleled distaste for the Patriots (we won't dwell on that unsavory topic), his devotion to his team was matched only by his stubborn streak and his fierce love for his daughters.

JG took immense pride in seeing his beloved daughters, Michelle Gedman and her partner Shane Moody, Dawn Gedman and her fiancé Jakor Lopez, and Tracy Gedman and her fiancé Jon Bosowski, thrive alongside incredible men who supported them. Each of their journeys brought him joy and laughter right to the end. On top of that, he adored his three grandsons—Nicholas Sellig, Daymyin Lopez, and Jonny Bosowski Jr..

His longtime buddies, affectionately known as "Sandles," "Stach," and "Butchie," and JG’s work family, including Mahoul, Raymond "Big Man", Rick, and Glenn, who shared laughter and camaraderie. The friendships he forged over the years were filled with joy, and his infectious spirit will linger in their hearts forever.

He has joined his dear departed family members— mother Irene, father Walter, and brother Stephen. 

He will be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery with his beloved mother, Irene Gedman, reuniting once again.

We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to JHC Hospice for their splendid care and comfort during his final days. Shannon, Melissa, and Christine, you made a difficult time a little brighter, and for that, we are forever grateful.

JG’s stubborn charm, love for family, and undying loyalty to the Packers will be missed immensely. The world is a little less bright without him, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. Here’s to the man who brought us unforgettable memories, Go Pack Go!
