John Harte, 77, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Holden, MA.
Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, July 26, 1947, the son of Cornelius and Margaret Harte, John spent his life building connections—both professionally and personally. He was a graduate of Gannon University. He worked in business development and sales for several companies over the years, including a long stint with Roche, a decade at LabCorp, and finishing out his career at Sharp Clinical Services, where he retired in 2017.
John was someone who really knew how to enjoy life. He had a deep love for art, was happiest near the ocean, and never passed up a great meal. He worked out regularly and believed in staying active and present, no matter what age. He had a sharp mind, a big heart, and a dry wit that always kept conversations interesting.
He leaves behind his loving partner, Derrick, his daughter Alyssa, and his grandchildren Tyler and Tory.
John will be deeply missed, but he’ll be remembered for the laughter, love, and wisdom he shared so freely.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (https://www.michaeljfox.org), a disease he so desperately wanted to be cured.
