John Michael Travis “Butch”

John Michael Travis, lovingly known as “Butch,” passed away on March 17, 2026, surrounded by his family after a brave fight with cancer.

Butch was a devoted son, brother, and a constant source of support to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his mother and best friend, Bertha Travis.

He leaves behind his brother, Wayne Travis and his wife Cindy; his sister, Kelly Travis and her husband Matthew Lemieux; and his son, Sean Travis. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Butch was predeceased by his father, John Travis, and his son, John Travis, both of whom he held close in his heart.

He will be remembered for his generosity he gave so freely to those around him. Butch had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fishing, and cooking for his family. He also had a deep love for dogs and cared for many over the years.

Proud of his Irish and Portuguese heritage, it is especially meaningful that his passing came on St. Patrick’s Day. His life will be honored and celebrated now and in the years to come.

May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with God and his loved ones in Heaven.
