Jonathan Josue De Leon

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jonathan Josue De Leon, who left this world on July 28, 2025, in Worcester, MA. Born on January 8, 1988, in Manhattan, NY, Jonathan was a vibrant and unforgettable soul whose presence brought light, laughter, and connection to all who knew him.

Jonathan had a magnetic personality. His smile could light up a room, and his sense of humor brought joy to both friends and strangers alike. He had a natural ability to connect with people and lift their spirits, even in the most difficult moments.

He is survived by his children—Jordan J. DeLeon, Jaylene M. DeLeon, and Jathen A.Parker. He is also survived by his mother, Belky A. DeLeon; his father, John J. Velez; and his siblings: Robert J. DeLeon, Rosemary Davis, Ruthie N. Garcia, John G. Velez, Juan Garcia, and Jennifer Aquino. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family member’s and friends.

Jonathan’s journey included moments of strength and struggle.  His story is a reminder of the complexities of life and the importance of grace, empathy, and support.

A viewing in his honor will be held on August 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Comfort Cremation in Worcester, MA. Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Jonathan’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations to help cover funeral expenses are appreciated. Details will be available at the viewing or may be requested from the family.
