Joseph J. Junguzza

JOSEPH J. JUNGUZZA. It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Joseph John Junguzza Jr, who passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in his daughters’ home on June 30^th, 2022, at the age of 79.

Joe – Born and raised in New Jersey, was an avid traveler and was known for his love of Long Beach Island, NJ. He had a passion for basketball, music, and lived a life of epicureanism. Though he retired as a member of Homeland Security, he spoke most fondly of his work with Polaroid and could often be found photographing the people and things he loved most – his family, friends, and nature.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lisa Contee, Susan Hathaway & her husband Albert Hathaway, Rebekah Junguzza & her husband Ben Herbst; his grandchildren, Isaiah Hoyt & his wife Aleisha Hoyt, Juliana Cueroni & her husband Joseph Cueroni, Jenna Campbell, and Jared Campbell; his great granddaughter, Kennedy Cueroni; his brother, Dennis Junguzza & his wife Doreen Junguzza; his niece BobbiJo Ringe & her husband Benjamin Ringe; his nephew Joe-Dan Junguzza & his wife Amy Junguzza; great nieces and nephews; his ex-wife Leona Brooks & her husband Chris Brooks; his ex-wife Karen Junguzza ; his best friend Diana Tindall and many other extended family members and close friends. He will be so dearly missed.  

 So please raise a glass of Chardonnay or a Brandy Manhattan and toast a man who loved both!

 In lieu of a funeral, Joseph requested that a celebration of his life be held. Close family and friends will gather on Long Beach Island to rejoice in the love, laughter and joy he brought to the Junguzza family and all who knew him
