Worcester, MA

Kathleen Ann Zicuis, a beacon of kindness and warmth, departed this world on August 1, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by the love and support of her cherished family. Born on September 11, 1951, in Worcester, Kathleen grew to embrace every moment with an open heart and a welcoming spirit.

A devoted wife to her husband of 51 years, Francis Zicuis, Kathleen’s life was a testament to love and family. She took immense pride in her role as a mother to 7 wonderful children: Paula, barbara, Kim, Colleen, Melissa Christopher and Robin each carrying forward the legacy of love and compassion that she exemplified. Her life was further enriched by the joy of being a grandmother to twelve beloved grandchildren: Jennifer, Katelyn, Chance, Zachary, Philip, Brittany, Joseph, Daniel jr, Jonathan, Kristine, Abigail, and Robin. To them, she was not just a grandmother, but a guiding light, a confidante, and a source of endless love.

Kathleen's home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, joy, and countless memories. She had a remarkable talent for bringing family and friends together, especially during the holidays. Those gatherings were always a reflection of her nurturing nature, where the aroma of home cooked meals and coffee wafted through the air, inviting everyone to enjoy delicious food and heartfelt conversations. The backyards of her home became a canvas for beautiful memories, flourishing with cookouts, graduations, and celebrations, every event radiating her warmth and hospitality.

Her creative spirit found expression in crafts, sewing by hand, and an enduring love for the beach and road trips. Kathleen’s kindness extended beyond her immediate family; her home was a welcoming haven where anyone could gather. She was known for sitting down with friends and family for dinner at 5 PM, ensuring the table was always set and ready for those who were able to join. Kathleen was truly the heart and soul of her family.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her beloved children, Barbara Amyot, Melissa Lynn Zicuis, and Christopher Zicuis. Their absence leaves a profound gap in her legacy of love, but her spirit will continue to inspire her surviving family. Kathleen Ann Zicuis will be remembered not just for her remarkable cooking, but for the immeasurable love she bestowed upon everyone she met. Her life reminds us to keep our hearts open and our homes welcoming, and the world is undoubtedly a richer place for having known her. She will be dearly missed and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she loved.

Gravesite services only will be held on Thursday August 14th 2025 at 12pm. Saint John's cemetery (260 Cambridge st. Worcester ma) lot #1520 Saint Christopher's section.
