Kenneth “Ken” Moccia

September 16, 1976 — February 22, 2024

Kenneth “Ken”  Moccia, born in Worcester, MA on September 16, 1976, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Vincent Hospital. Ken’s life was one marked by dedication and skill, having worked as a carpenter and painter. He was raised in both Worcester and Shrewsbury and proudly graduated from Shrewsbury High School.

Ken was a man of many passions; he adored the outdoors, found solace in swimming, and was an avid fisherman. A true sports enthusiast, he was a diehard fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and Red Sox. Known for his culinary talents, Ken was a great cook who found joy in preparing meals for his loved ones. Among his cherished companions were his three dogs: two huskies named “Malachi” and Max, as well as a miniature schnauzer named “Bella”.

In the face of this tragic loss are Ken’s surviving family and friends who mourn his departure deeply. He leaves behind his beloved wife Shirley (Davis) Moccia, stepdaughter Susan and her spouse, best friend Grace Davis, sister Christina Moccia, nephew Fernando Davis, along with the entirety of The Rest of the Davis Family.

Ken is preceded in death by his father Salvador Moccia and mother Diane (Plaszewski) Moccia. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those fortunate enough to have known him.

Services to honor and remember Ken Moccia will take place at Comfort Cremation located at 1027 Main Street in Worcester, MA on February 27th. A viewing will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM followed by an additional event from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Ken will be dearly missed but never forgotten as his memory lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and warmth.
