Kim passed away on Saturday morning April 25th at home with her family by her side after a short, but hard fought battle with lung cancer. Kim leaves behind her Husband Norman Gaudette, her son Thone Senosk, daughter Abigail Alvarez, stepdaughter Evy Gaudette, future Daughter-in-law Krystal Normandin, two Grand children Jared Senosk and Kyler Senosk, her mother Joan Senosk, her father, the late Joseph Senosk, brother Joey Senosk, sister-in-law Donna Senosk and mother-in-law Anita Gaudette.
Kim worked for for an Open Sky home in West Brookfield where she was a residential counselor for over 8 years. Kim gave 100% of her love and care to all the women in the home as well as her coworkers each day. During Kim's illness and treatments one of her goals was to get better so she could go back to work and see her ladies and be with her coworkers. Kim loved her job and the people she worked with. She was known as a woman with no filter, and anyone who knew and loved Kim expected nothing less than that.
Prior to Open Sky, Kim worked for Xtra-Mart at their Sturbridge location on Main Street where she worked for many years greeting all her customers with a smile and making friends with them all. Kim also worked at the Southbridge locations as well during her time with the company until Xtra-Mart was sold to Global.
Kim grew up in Worcester on Waverly Street and attended Saint Casimirs Catholic School. Her family then moved to Spencer on Browning Pond Road. Later they moved to the Village in Southbridge where they lived for many years as Kim grew up and attended Southbridge High School.
Kim met her future husband Norm Gaudette on an online dating site in December of 2014. Their first date was a wonderful dinner at Bentley's in Sturbridge. The two were engaged on Christmas Eve of 2016 and married on August 19, 2017 at the Pilsudski Polish-American club in Southbridge.
Kim lived with her Husband in North Brookfield where they enjoyed having cookouts and parties during the summer and hanging out with family and friends by the pool. Kim loved nothing more than having her family, especially her grandchildren, around as often as possible. Kim's carefree, fun spirit was always best around those she loved. She loved traveling with her husband to spend time on the Cape seeing the sights and shopping. Kim also loved to go out with her mom on the weekends checking out as many yard sales as they could find. Kim's first thought whenever she went out was about what other people wanted or needed. Kim's life was always about how she could help others.
Kim lived and worked for visiting her happiest place on earth... Disney World! Kim was 100% a Disney adult! Kim and her husband and family visited the Magic Kingdom many times over the years, often times yearly. Kim would work her scheduling magic to ensure that every moment of every long visit was filled with the magic of the mouse!
Kim also enjoyed going to concerts with her daughter Abbi seeing their favorite country singers. Kim also loved going to the casino for her birthdays and going there to play bingo with her future daughter-in-law Krystal. Kim loved being active, and did not like sitting still for very long. When she was home she enjoyed quiet times out in the yard with her dog Adi.
It was difficult for Kim during her illness to accept not being able to work and go places. Her cancer was aggressive and fast moving and the multiple types of treatments had little affect. Kim's mother-in-law Anita Gaudette, although retired, has over 50 years of healthcare experience, and stepped in during the last few months of Kim's life to help care for and tend to all of Kim's needs. During the last few weeks of Kim's life her stepdaughter, Evy Gaudette, also became one of her primary caregivers. Kim wanted nothing more than to get better and live her life watching her grandchildren grow up and be with her husband and family. However, Kim ultimately lost her very private battle with cancer.
It was Kim's wish that she didn't want a wake or funeral, but a celebration of life for her. Kim did always love having a party!
Date and location for the event will be announced at a later time.
