Kris Braneff, 68, died on October 24, 2024 peacefully in the company of his loving wife and daughter. Born in Germany, son of Thelma Braneff, was raised in Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Army. His service brought him to Ft. Devens, Ma. where he attended Intelligence School. Upon becoming injured he met his future wife, Bertha Cormier, who was his attending nurse. They shared an unbreakable bond that would carry Kris to the end of his journey.
Kris was most proud of his family and his military service to his country. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid baseball card collector; he also enjoyed playing scrabble, poker, cribbage, and listening to music.
Kris leaves behind his wife Bertha of 46 years; his son, Tyler Braneff; his daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Nicholas Flannery; and five wonderful grandchildren. He also leaves his brother and sister-in-law Kurt and Linda Braneff; sister and brother-in-law, Kandace and Jamie Lea; and sister and brother-in-law, Kathi and Don Gomez.
Kris will be honored with a Military Committal Service at the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Winchendon, Ma. at 3pm on Friday, November 29, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made in honor of Kris Braneff to the Disabled American Veterans.
