Lawrence Edward Befford

Lawrence Edward Befford, a devoted mechanic and family man, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2025, in Three Rivers. He was born on August 18, 1976, in Springfield. Lawrence was known for his tireless work ethic and his unwavering faith in God, which served as a foundation throughout his life.

In his 49 years, Lawrence developed a passion for mechanics of all kinds, becoming a respected figure in his field. His dedication to his craft was complemented by his love for race cars and music, where he found joy playing the drums. These interests provided him with an outlet.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebeka Befford, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Together, they have raised three children: Jon-micheal Leary, Marissa Leary, and Alexander Leary. Also leaving behind his six grandkids Madeline Seymour, Bradley Leary, Jeffrey O'Shea II, Christian Leary, Raelynn Leary, and Briella Leary. 

Additionally, he is survived by his father, Bruce Befford, and his siblings Trina Champagne, Robert Befford Jr., and Melissa Roche. Their shared memories of Lawrence will be cherished as they navigate life without him.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Befford, who welcomed him into eternity.

The community is invited to commemorate Lawrence's life and legacy. Services will be held at Beers and Stories in Palmer December 5th from 3 PM to 6 PM, followed by a gathering at St. Joe’s in Thorndike.
