Leeann Patrice Shyne

Leeann Patrice Shyne, 68, of Northborough, MA, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024. A devoted mother and a compassionate worker in disability services for over three decades, Leeann’s kindness left a mark on many.

Leeann was born in New York City and raised in upstate New York. As a young adult, she moved to Lunenburg, MA where she was a resident for over 35 years, until health issues necessitated she move to a skilled nursing facility in Northborough, MA.

She was a passionate gardener and an active member of the Turkey Hill Gardeners club. Her love for animals shone brightly through her volunteer work at the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats and the many rescued dogs and cats she surrounded herself with throughout her life. Leeann also expressed her creativity through photography, competing in and enjoying amateur photography contests.

She is survived by her son, Michael D. Santasieri and his fiancé, Ashley Pope, as well as her four brothers, Allen Shyne, William Shyne, R. Daniel Shyne, and Scott Shyne.

A private celebration of Leeann’s life will be held for family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill or the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats in her memory.
