Linda Marie Spada

Linda M. Spada,79, a Wrentham resident passed peacefully away at Serenity Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday morning June 29, 2025. Born Linda Marie Celata on October 8, 1945 in Quincy MA, Linda lived a life devoted to her family, taking care of the elderly, and loving her furry friends. 

Linda had a few different acts as far as her career. She attended Northeastern University and was a dental assistant before marrying Salvatore T. Spada in February 1967. Later divorced in 1982 but always remaining friends throughout their lives. Linda had a long career working as an administrative assistant first in the private sector for Cullinane corporation, then for the American Red Cross, and then for the Counsel on Aging for the town of Dedham where she eventually retired from. Linda later worked part time for Visiting Angels as a home health aide/companion. She always derived joy working for and with the elderly.

Linda had many hobbies throughout her life. She was part of a women’s bowling league, enjoyed ceramics, rug hooking and especially sewing! Most of all, her family and friends loved her Italian cooking and her famous lasagna!

Linda is survived by her ex-husband, Salvatore T. Spada, her children Cheryl A. Spada and her husband Dwayne Hancock and Thomas S. Spada and his wife Susan Spada.

She leaves behind four grandchildren:  Jacob Spada, Samuel Hancock, Robyn Spada, Ethan “Jack” Hancock

She is survived by her sibling Beverly Palmer and her nephew Craig Palmer Jr. And her niece Nichole Palmer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony J. Celata and Alice M. Celata.

At this time, there is no announced formal funeral but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
