Worcester

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael John Laviolette on June 27, 2025, at the age of 49, following a long and difficult journey with health challenges. He was born on January 25, 1976, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and spent his life embodying the values of love, generosity, and kindness.

Mike was a proud graduate of Doherty Memorial High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with connections and friendships that would last a lifetime. His personality was truly a reflection of his caring spirit—Mike was someone who gave wholeheartedly to the people around him. He cherished his family and friends, consistently showing up with loyalty and an open heart. His dedication to those he loved was evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in his work, never hesitating to lend a helping hand, regardless of the need.

Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Mike had a remarkable gift for bringing laughter to any gathering. He had a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into cherished memories, making each encounter meaningful for those lucky enough to share in them. A die-hard Boston sports fan and an avid NASCAR enthusiast, he was known to cheer loudly and proudly for his teams and favorite drivers, celebrating their triumphs and enduring their challenges with unwavering devotion (though he always insisted the refs were definitely blind). He also shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved dog, Buddy, who was never far from his side and who brought him immeasurable comfort and joy.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Diana Laviolette and John Laviolette of Worcester, MA, who take great pride in his legacy of kindness, and his siblings, brother Jason Laviolette and wife Regan Laviolette of Hopkinton, MA, and sister Andrea Goyette and husband Sean Goyette of Rutland, MA. He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Parker, Teagan, and Rigsby, who will carry forward his spirit of joy and love.

Mike will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His generosity, laughter, and the abundant love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. He's traded his Adidas slides in for wings, but if there's a beach in heaven, that's where you'll find him - tanning, toes in the sand, while politely still ignoring those text messages you just sent him, again. May we always find him in every warm breeze and every good laugh.

A Mass will be held on Monday July 7, 2025, at 11A.M. at Christ The King Church, 1052 Pleasant St, Worcester, MA. A short calling hours will preceed the mass starting at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel lobby. Family and friends are invited to attend. A celebration gathering will follow the mass.

Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends.
