Michael K. Riani, 65, of Auburn, died Friday July 25th at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born in Worcester; the son of the late Marion (Severy) Riani and Richard R. Riani Sr.
Michael is survived by, his three sisters; Donna Hubert of Oxford, Carol Leduc and her husband Steven of Ft. Myers, FL, Judy Riani Demas and her husband Andrew of Auburn, his brother; Richard Riani Jr., and his wife Karen of Holden, many nephews and nieces, along his longtime friends Susan Swartz-Provost and family.
Michael grew up in Auburn, graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational and was a skilled carpenter. In his earlier career, he was employed by Clark University before starting his own carpentry business.
Michael loved making homemade spaghetti sauce and sharing with friends. He was extremely proud of the flowing gardens he created, and he was an avid race car fan. For those that knew him well, we know he is still checking his daily numbers in hopes of winning the jackpot.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In honor of his memory and his late cat Emma, donations can be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St, Worcester MA 01606.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
