In Loving Memory of Michael Sweeney

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Sweeney, a man whose generosity knew no bounds and whose energy, kindness, and, above all, love touched countless lives.

Mike was born on April 5, 1980, and passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 46. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, infectious sense of humor, and enormous heart.

Mike never met a stranger, only new friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand without hesitation. To know him was to love him, and his presence brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mike’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with his three daughters, Alexis, Brianna, and Lily. They were his pride and joy, and they will forever cherish the memories of his great big “Papa Bear” hugs and the unconditional love he gave them.

Mike spent his days in constant motion, always finding something to do and someone to help. Whether he was fishing, hiking, or lending a hand to those in need, he embraced life with energy and an open heart. He will be forever remembered for his generosity, his willingness to help others, and the tremendous heart that made him so special.

Mike is survived by his soulmate Shannon; his three beloved daughters, Alexis Rollins, Brianna Sweeney, and Lily Sweeney; his loving mother, Marcia Sweeney; his brother, Chris Kalldian; his sister, Tammy Sweeney; and his 10 nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Michael Sweeney Sr., and his brothers, Richard Kalldian and David Kalldian.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, Mike’s love, laughter, generosity, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a reminder to live life with an open heart, to help others whenever possible, and to love without limits.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 1027 Main Street, Worcester.

In his honor, the family asks that you please do one small act of kindness in Mike’s memory. Whether it’s lending a helping hand, offering a kind word, or simply being there for someone in need, we ask that you carry on Mike’s legacy by sharing the love and generosity he gave so freely. If we can all make the world a little brighter through one small act of kindness, then a piece of Mike will continue to live on in each of us.💜💛
