Monica Morse walked through heavens doors on the afternoon of Friday October 25th. She departed this world peacefully from her home in Warren, Ma. which was her sanctuary for the last 35 years. She was ushered to heaven’s gates surrounded by loving thoughts and caring hands and left this world with a peaceful smile on her face.
Monica Jean (Allen) Morse was born in Ware Massachusetts to Phyllis E. (Jablonski) Skinner and Carl A. Allen. She was an amazing mother and life coach to two children, her daughter Rachel Morse of Afton, Tennessee and her son Jason Morse of Southbridge, Massachusetts. Both of whom she loved with every fiber of her being. She was a loving grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren that she loved with all of her heart, Andrew Harnois, Jonathan Harnois, Noah Morse and Brooke Morse.
She had four siblings. She was predeceased by her beloved sister and friend Rebecca Robinson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and survived by her sisters Carrol Warren of Worcester, Ma., Nadia Steinbeiser and brother Phillip Skinner both of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She also leaves her nieces and nephews of whom she loved immensely, and in so many ways considered them to be extended children of her own. That sentiment was echoed in the love they returned to her.
Additionally she leaves her friend/partner John Rhodes and longtime friends Barbara Chaput, Betty Chase, Diane Madore.
Monica was a beautiful woman with a radiant soul. She was tenacious in all that she did. If you were lucky enough to be loved by her you experienced a love like no other. She truly loved without condition and put all of who she was into her relationships.
For many years she worked as a waitress, she preferred working in small cafes or diners where she was able to build relationships with her customers. She knew her “regulars” well and was commonly preferred or sought out by other customers undoubtedly because she offered a level of service like no other. She was quite adept in the ways of hospitality.
As the years passed, her home became her labor of love. She had an eye for decorating and received so many compliments on how beautiful her home was by all who visited or walked by. Receiving compliments from random passerby’s always made her light up. She perpetually had a vision and a “next project”. She would often be found working in her yard, improving on the already beautiful landscaping that she had created.
She was outgoing, friendly and seemingly had her very own language as she would often mispronounce words and then embrace those words as if they came from the dictionary. Though her life wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows, she always persevered and rose to the top. She learned the importance of self love and was blessed with the gift of being able to laugh at herself. She was a courier of joy and happiness to all she came in contact with.
Though the world has lost an angel, her light and love will shine brightly through those that she loved and cared for while she was loaned to us from God.
We will see you when we get there Mom!
