Nanci Lea Wilson

Our mother, Nanci Wilson, sadly passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 71 years old. She was a wonderful mom who was always there when we needed her to offer support and wisdom. She will be deeply missed.

Nanci was born on September 14th, 1953, in Needles, California. She spent much of her childhood on a small ranch in Galt, California. She spent her early adult life in California and Oregon before moving to Massachusetts, where she made her home in Brookfield for over 40 years.

Nanci found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her flower gardens, reading a good book, making quilts, crafting, and doing puzzles. Warmer weather and sunny days always brought her happiness and comfort. She was always up for a talk with a friend.

She is remembered by her three children: her daughter, Adele Mayer, and her husband, Jeff Mayer; her sons Andrew Shaw and his wife Immaculate Mukoya; and her son Hassan Wilson-Hazziez. Nanci also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Rye Cook and Reed Mayer, and many good friends and extended family who felt her warmth and generosity. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
