Leominster, MA – Norman Charles Davin, Jr., 56, of Leominster, MA, formerly of Ayer, MA died at his residence on April 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born on December 21, 1966 in Fitchburg, MA, the son of the late Norman C. and Susan (Bechtold) Davin, Sr. and grew up in Ayer, MA. Norman worked in the construction field his entire career until last year when he began working at Closets by Design in Shirley, MA. Norman was an avid fisherman, he loved all kinds of animals, he loved nature and being outside, he loved camping and campfires with his family. He enjoyed going to Nascar races and listening to his music. When he made a career change a year ago, he wasn’t sure if it was really for him but very quickly knew that this was the place to be. He missed his Closets by Design co-workers and really hoped to go back someday. Norman was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was a long-time member of the Ayer Gun & Sportsmen Club since the age of 12 when he joined as a Junior Member. Norman was extremely handy, he loved to do all types of handyman jobs around the house. Whether it was painting, yard maintenance, gardening, opening walls, and all sorts of renovations. Norman also loved to watch good movies on tv, going to Old Orchard Beach in Maine which was a place he spent a lot of his childhood camping with his family. His family was part of a camping club back when he was young. Lots of great memories living at Sandy Pond fishing, swimming, riding bicycles, basketball, and football at the beach and hockey at the Ayer Gun & Sportsmen Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Jody (Wright) Davin of Leominster, MA; sisters Linda Medeiros (husband John) of Ayer, MA and Pamela Martin (husband Christopher) of Ayer, MA; daughters Ericka Trinque (husband DJ) of Ayer, MA, Jasmine Davin (friend Blaine Washburn) of Shirley, MA, Melissa Gerace of Fitchburg, MA; grandsons Brayden Trinque, Nathan Quinn-Gerace and Baby Liam due on May 05, 2023; and niece Grace Martin and nephew Zachary McNiff. A celebration of life will be held on June 24, 2023 at the Ayer Gun & Sportsmen Club, time, and more information to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or The Friends of Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice.
