Oletha Laruth Goetzendanner

 

Our dear Mother Oletha LaRuth (Thompson) Goetzendanner sadly passed away May 29, 2024, at the age of 90.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love and abundance.
Born in Leona, TX, Oletha came to Springfield, MA in the 1960s. A friend to many, she was a cherished member in her community of Springfield, MA.
A faithful servant of the Lord, attending Solid Rock Community Baptist Church and other local churches in the community of Springfield. Also a long time worker at Pratt and Whitney and many other jobs.
Oletha’s heart was so big and she cared for many! Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
She was predeceased by her parents Lewis and Mazie Thompson, sisters Bernice and Maxine and leaves behind Sister Mary Galloway, her children: James, Rodney, Jovenia, Kathy, Suzette, Darrien (Jah- Rab), and Brian and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by her best friend Jonetta Chase and a mother- sister- friend to Linda Beasley, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity!
