Paula J. Withers

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Paula J. Withers, who left this world on July 3, 2025, at the age of 54. Paula was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and caring aunt whose love and presence touched everyone who knew her.

A lifelong resident of the City of Worcester, Massachusetts, Paula’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud and loving mother to her children: Dicco Allawerdian, Ryan Withers, Jacquelyn Withers-Allaire, Leona Withers-Allaire, Daige Withers, and Chaise Withers. She also played a pivotal part in the lives of her nephew and niece, Jason Withers and Ashley Withers, loving and supporting them as if they were her own. She was a doting grandmother to her beloved grandchildren, Kairi and Skylar, who brought endless light and laughter into her life.

She had a gift for making people feel at home. If you had an empty stomach, Paula would feed you—no questions asked. Family, friend, or stranger, she believed no one should ever go without a warm plate of food and a little bit of comfort.

Paula also had a legendary talent for hunting down the best online deals. Whether it was a kitchen gadget she might need someday or matching outfits with matching shoes for the whole family at 70% off, she could track down a deal like it was an Olympic sport. If there was a promo code out there, you’d better believe she had it.

She will be remembered for her selflessness, her humor, her fierce love, and the way she made everyone around her feel like family. Beyond being a devoted mother and grandmother, she was also a loving sister and aunt who kept family at the center of everything she did.

Paula was predeceased by her mother, Jacquelyn M. Withers; her father, Paul W. Sloan; her brother, Charles S. Withers; and her sister, Cindylee J. Withers. She is survived by her brother Ronald Withers Jr. and her sisters Diane Withers and Christina Withers.
