Peter Gerlach

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Peter Gerlach.  This wonderful husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend left us June 4, 2024 at the age of 81.  Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments he was a man with an immense knowledge of obscure facts and wisdom cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.  His passion for the outdoors, family get togethers, B movies, and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered.  Along with his collections of historical facts, tools, maps, books and the artwork of loved ones Peter unwittingly collected people who loved and admired him throughout his life.  He is survived by his little pink lady, wife of 56 years Sharon Gerlach (nee Rief), daughter Nancy Gerlach-Piquette and husband Daniel, son Noah Gerlach and wife Julie Pierson Gerlach, daughter Heidi Gerlach and fiancé Zach Wright, grandsons Abel, Duncan, Gustav and Oliver and goddaughter Jenniflower Laker all of whom will continue to honour his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.  Please join us Saturday July 13, 2024 10:00-1:00 at the Westfield Bank Pavilion at Stanley Park Westfield, MA to celebrate this exceptional man’s life.
