Rafael A. Rosario

Rafael Antonio Rosario, 63, of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Rafael was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico.  He was predeceased by Mother Herminia Cruz Hernandez, father Angel Rosario and brother Reynaldo Jimenez. He was raised in Puerto Rico, and later moved to New York, before eventually settling in Worcester. Rafael worked for many years as a community service advocate, helping many less fortunate people in the city with various needs. He was an avid music lover and he especially enjoyed singing, listening, and dancing to Salsa music. Rafael also enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family, playing dominoes and drinking his Heinekens. 

Rafael is survived by his two daughters, Jasmine R. Robinson and her husband Robert and Meghan Spellacy and her husband Christopher; 8 grandchildren, Daniel Suarez, Rafael Rosario, Haason Rosario, Anaji Reyes, Nhilynn Reyes, Amana Robinson, Saiyuri Spellacy and Ryan Spellacy and 10 great grandchildren, his siblings, Miguel A. Lorenza, Luz Maria Cruz, Ana Santiago, Juan Santiago, Carmen Flores, Guillermo Santiago and his wife Lydia, Milagros Santiago, Beatriz Santiago, Angel Rosario and his wife Rosa, Jorge L. Rosario, Luz Magaly Colon, Myrna R. Jimenez and Amadeo Rosario and 38 nephews and nieces that loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited for a period of visitation from 4-6pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Comfort Cremation Funeral Home, 1027 Main St., Worcester, MA, 01603.
