Richard Paul Castagnaro, Sr. known to many as "Rich," passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1953, in Milford, MA, where he was raised and later graduated from high school.

Throughout his life, Rich wore many hats professionally. He was an entrepreneur who owned a successful furniture-making company and a flower shop. Later on, he dedicated 20 years of service as the head custodian at West Brookfield Elementary School before retiring. His hard work and dedication left a lasting impact on all those he encountered.

Rich's personality was often described as that of an angel on earth - caring and helpful to all who knew him. In addition to his professional pursuits, he had a wide range of hobbies and interests. Rich was a skilled handyman and carpenter, excelling in his craftsmanship. He had a passion for classic muscle cars, was a great mechanic, and enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved grandchildren. Animals also held a special place in his heart. Rich will also be affectionately remembered as “Papa Santa” for his resemblance and appearances on many occasions as Santa Claus.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Lynn (Crespo) Castagnaro; his children Tamara Castagnaro, Richard P. Castagnaro Jr. and his wife Tori, Heather Langley, Kailee Kopec, and Anthony Castagnaro and his wife Kate and 8 grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his father, Ralph D. Castagnaro, and mother, Ruth (Robbins) Castagnaro.
