Robert Rodrigues
1949-2024
HOLLAND – Ludlow native Robert Rodrigues, 74, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, after a short illness. Born in Ludlow on Sept. 26, 1949, Bobby was the son of Jesse and Helen Rodrigues, both of Ludlow. A graduate of Ludlow High School in 1967, he joined the U.S. Army Reserves, serving in the Infantry from 1968-1975. After leaving the U.S. Army, Bobby returned to Ludlow, where he worked in construction before joining the Ludlow Police Department in 1976. He had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. He was a member of the Eastern Hampden County Drug Task Force, and he rose through the ranks, serving as the department’s lieutenant before retiring in 2009.
Bobby leaves his longtime companion Paula Killough, his three daughters and their husbands Pamela and David Kuras, of Smithfield, N.C., Debra and Rapy Cabral, of Ludlow, and Susan and Timothy Dziok, of Granby, and his grand-children, Tyler, Chapin, Brendan, Dylan, Noah, Bella, Edward and Cole, as well as extended family, including Noelle Pflanz, of Springfield, Ore.
He leaves his siblings Joan Labier, and her husband Ronald, of Sarasota, Fla., Thomas Rodrigues, and his wife, Cindy, of Chicopee, Sandra, and her husband, Donald, of Ludlow, and Manuel and Joseph Rodrigues, of Ludlow.
