With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Robin Jane Abbott (Maynard) who passed away suddenly Friday morning, 12/12/2025 at the age of 59. Born on 9/7/1966 in Fitchburg MA to Lorraine (Lorry) L. Maynard (Trainque). She shared light,strength and laughter with those that she loved and met along her journey of life. She had a big heart and loved to help the less fortunate especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She cared very deeply for her rescue animals. She enjoyed her special getaways with her husband and loved the casinos. She liked reading Stephen King novels and quite possibly may have read them all. She was a very hard worker and was generous with her earnings.The time spent with her grandchildren brought pure joy to her life. She is an alumni of Leominster High School, Class of 1984. After graduating she moved to Canada where she married and had her 2 sons. She then moved to Vermont for a few years before ultimately returning to Massachusetts in 2007. Five years later she met her loving husband, Dale, whom she married in July 2017 and her family expanded to include Dale's 2 daughters and grandson.
Robin is lovingly remembered by, her husband Dale Abbot of Auburn MA, her son Bradley Monette of Quebec, Canada, her son Dustin Monette and his significant other Kim Steiner of Sterling MA, her sister Donna M. Maynard of Massillon OH, Kelly S Hill (Maynard) of Fitchburg MA, her brother-in-law Jeremy Abbott of Gardner MA, her stepdaughter Allysha Russin of Ware MA, her stepdaughter Hannah Abbott of Ware MA, her granddaughter Saidey Monette of Quebec, Canada, her granddaughter Naomi Monette of Quebec, Canada and her grandson Jonathan Russin of Ware MA and her nieces, nephews and cousins.Robin is reunited in peace with her Mom Lorraine 'Lorry' L. Maynard (Trainque) deceased in 2017, her sister Debra 'Debbie' A. Maynard deceased in 2025, her aunt Grace Payne in 2008 and her fluffy girl, Little Bear .
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 3, 2026 from 2pm-5pm at Zeda's Pizza (Backroom) on 65 Laurel St, Fitchburg MA 01420 where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories and honor a life that meant so much to so many. Pizza and appetizers will be served.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorial contributions be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Rd, Sterling MA 01564.
