Sandra J. Byrnes

Sandra J. Byrnes, 70 of Worcester passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, surrounded by family, friends at Umass Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.

Sandra was born March 3, 1953 in Worcester, the daughter of Victor & Nancy Szymanski(Mikkinen). Sandra was an advocate for peace during the Vietnam war era. She held various jobs before settling in to raise her children. Sandra was never short in conversation or interesting things to say.

Sandra leaves behind her lifefriend of almost 40 years Sam Niford of Worcester. A daughter Lia Byrnes of St. Johnsbury, VT, two sons, Seanan Byrnes & his Wife Lynne of Worcester, Robert Byrnes & his Wife Tammy of Tucson, AZ. Three grandchildren, Kailee, Aidan & Nicole.

There will be no calling hours & burial will be private.
