Sandra Ann Torman, born on October 1, 1948, in the embrace of her loving family, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Throughout her life, she was a figure of remarkable strength and an embodiment of warmth. Sandra is remembered for her sharp wit and intelligence, paired with a sense of humor that often brought laughter to those around her.
For over 15 years, Sandra owned The Yarn Shoppe, a cherished local establishment where she shared her passion for knitting with others. Her dedication was evident not only in her business but also in the countless knitting classes she taught, inspiring both novice and seasoned knitters alike.
Sandra's love for reading and travel complemented her dynamic personality. She also cherished her family pets, including her many dogs, cats, fish and birds.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Kenneth Torman; her beloved daughter, Kara Lyn Torman; and her cherished son, Jeremy Torman and his wife, Nicole Torman. Sandra was also a proud grandmother to her grandsons: Gavin Decker, Keegan Decker, Jacob Torman, and Jonah Torman. Her family was her pride and joy, and her contributions to their lives were immeasurable.
Sandra is predeceased by her parents, George Amaral and Jesuine Amaral of Dartmouth, MA. In addition, she held her cousin and best friend, Diane Silva, dear to her heart, creating countless memories together.
Though she will be profoundly missed, Sandra's legacy of love, humor, and generosity will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
No immediate services are planned, the family will be hosting a celebration of life for Sandra in October. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
