Sharon L. Mann, 79, of Brimfield, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 20, 1946, in Putnam, Connecticut, to the late George and Elizabeth Smith.
Sharon earned her associate’s degree in business administration and worked in the family business. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Mann; her daughter, Karri Freeland, and her husband, Daryl; her stepchildren, Kim Hachey and her husband, Michael, and Rob Mann and his wife, Laura; her sister, Janet Smith; four grandchildren, Brooke, Kyra, Angela, and Savannah; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Sharon was a devoted and energetic Grammy who loved spending time playing with her grandchildren. She lived most of her life in Woodstock, Connecticut, where she enjoyed staying active and could often be found walking around the Harrisville Golf Course, collecting stray golf balls along the road. She also took pride in keeping her community clean, regularly picking up trash during her walks - something she did until she could no longer walk safely.
One of Sharon’s greatest joys was caring for her yard. She took pride in creating a beautiful space filled with flowers, plants, and carefully tended bushes. Her home and garden reflected the warmth and care she showed to everyone around her. Sharon loved animals and, in her youth, had a motto that “she would always do her best to help animals in distress.” She was also well known for her double chocolate chip cookies, a fan-favorite recipe that was frequently requested wherever she went.
Sharon loved being an active member of her church community and spent many years teaching nursery and primary classes at her local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered for her kindness, attention to detail, generosity, warm smile, and unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Brookfield, Massachusetts. A private family burial will be held at the discretion of the family.
