Shirley A. Wardell

Shirley A. Wardell, 89, of Worcester passed away on June 28, 2022 in UMass Memorial Medical Center. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years, George Wardell Sr. and her daughters, Sherrie Lapriore & Wendy Armstrong.  Shirley is survived by her children: Elaine Rotan, Jodi Elliott, Toni Lane, Tracy Garceau, George Wardell Jr. and Christine Wardell and her loving grand children, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, newphews, cousing and friends.  She will be missed dearly.

Shirley and George were married in 1951 at Camp Lejeune, a Marine Corp base where George was stateioned.  She became a Registered Nurse in Worcester working at several hospitals and healthcare facilities, including the old City Hospital and Community Health Link.  Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.
