Steve R. Kangas

Steve Roger Kangas, 59, of Gardner, MA, formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Steve was born in Fitchburg, MA, on June 26, 1964, one of two children of Bernice K. Sullivan. He was raised in Worcester, where he attended Burncoat High School and resided for most of his life. He worked for many years at AmeriPride Linen Services, where he was a manager, until retiring.

Steve was a loving father and great friend. He loved watching football and playing poker with the guys. He also enjoyed his bud lights and cigarettes. He will be missed greatly by those that knew him.

Steve is survived by his son Steven Patrick Kangas, who he adored and his former wife Monika Ursula (Patterson) Kangas, both of Gardner, MA . He also  leaves behind his sister, Bernice Irwin of Cape Cod; 2 nephews, Michael Kangas and Ryan Irwin and his best friend Richard Kilmer.

Services will be held at a later date.
