Thomas E. Wilson, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 26, 1962, in Worcester, MA, Thomas lived a life of service, love, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Thomas was the son of Richard A. Wilson and Doris (Wood) Wilson, who preceded him in death, along with his brothers Richard A. Wilson, Jr., James Wilson, and his sister Katheryn Smith. He is survived by his adored wife of 35 years, Dianne, and their children: Laura Cromartie and husband Isaac of Hope Mills, NC; Cheryl Rivera and husband David of Worcester, MA; Denise Mazzuchelli of Rutland, MA; and Phillip Wilson of Spencer, MA. He also leaves behind his loving sisters, Doris and her husband B. Frank Grant of Greensboro, NC, and Linda Smith of Ashford, CT. Thomas's legacy is further carried on by his 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will forever keep his memory alive in their hearts.

Thomas graduated from Holy Name High School and furthered his education at the New England School of Accounting and Clark University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. His career was marked by a steadfast commitment to public service, working as a municipal accountant for various towns in Massachusetts. Thomas's dedication to helping others extended beyond the borders of his home state when he served as an Episcopal Missionary in El Salvador for three years. Upon returning to the U.S., he continued his compassionate work as an Outreach Coordinator for AIDS Project Worcester.

A man of faith, Thomas was a former member of All Saints Church in Worcester, St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Edgartown, and St. Francis Church in Holden. His spiritual journey was matched by his love for the outdoors, especially surfcasting and ice fishing. The Cape Cod shores were a favored spot, where he enjoyed the tranquility and challenge of fishing. Thomas also found joy in cultivating his garden, a testament to his nurturing spirit. A loyal Red Sox fan, he cherished the camaraderie and excitement of the game, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Calling hours are from 5-7 PM on Friday, September 11th and service to honor and celebrate Thomas's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, located at 10 Irving St. Worcester, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Thomas's memory.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many who cared for Thomas during his illness, including the Visiting Nurses Association of Worcester, the Oncology Department of UMass Campus, and JHC Hospice. Your kindness and support were invaluable during this difficult time.
