Vicki Taylor Angus

Vicki Taylor Angus, age 74, of Rutland, MA, passed away on Thursday October 5, 2023 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
Vicki was born on March 31, 1949 in Louisiana, MO, the daughter of Hester Pitzer Taylor and Wichmann S. Taylor. She attended Clopton Schools in Clarksville, MO, graduating in 1967. She attended Michigan State University in 1967 and then moved back to Missouri to attend University of Missouri – Columbia and lived there with her mother and sister. She also worked in St.Louis before moving to MA. She began working for Hanover Insurance in Worcester, MA. While working there she acquired more certifications including the Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter designation. When she retired she was a director of the company. On June 26, 1983, she married Steven Scott Angus in Rutland, MA and spent the rest of her life there.
Vicki was an enthusiastic Contract Bridge player (Platinum Life Master), and served in several leadership positions in the Central Mass Bridge Association, Unit 113. For several years, Vicki operated the Worcester Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, James and Grace Angus and is survived by her husband Steve, son Taylor James, sister Terry (Janie), brother-in-law John, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
After cremation, there will be a private graveside interment in Missouri, where her parents are buried. At Vicki’s instruction, there will be no calling hours or funeral in Massachusetts.
