Vincent James McEwan, age 77, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Vincent McEwan and Louise Juknecicz McEwan and lived many years in Westfield.

Vinny graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Psychology and went on to have a successful career in the furniture industry. His many colleagues remember him as a bright light, filling rooms with smiles and kindness. His sense of humor never ceased to lift morale. Vinny was an avid runner and competed in many marathons and other competitive events. One of Vinny's greatest achievements was being a member and sponsor in AA for over 45 years, where he met lifelong friends.

 He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was happiest spending time with family and friends, especially fishing, coaching soccer, and Sunday lunches with his grandkids. He and his wife, Anne, had many exciting adventures traveling together. They also shared a love of the furniture industry, antiques, and collectibles world. Most importantly, they shared a deep love for one another.

Vinny is survived by his wife, Anne Wilson McEwan, his daughters Lee McEwan Gesell, Jennifer Frye, stepchildren Terran L. Belue, Matthew B. Belue, grandchildren Taylor Dalton, Daniel Gesell, James Frye, Vince Frye, Tyler Belue, sister Prudence Godere (deceased), brothers Lawrence McEwan, Phillip McEwan, and Stephen McEwan. Vinny also had many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former spouse, Christine McEwan, with whom he shared his daughters.

A celebration of life with immediate family and closest friends is planned for a later date. In the spirit of Vinny's generosity, donations can be made to a youth sports organization of your choice, or he might just say "put it all on black". Please, no flowers or plants.
